Heya all! Still remember the prayer cards that we penned down as a result of looking intensely at the parable of the prodigal son? Here’s what everyone wrote down. After you’ve looked through the list, you may ‘book’ a particular person for you to pray for regularly by indicating in the tagboard on the right. Once you have made your booking, the respective person’s prayer card will be hand-delivered to you for regular intercession before our Father in Heaven. (Terms and conditions apply)

Umpteen times of rejection to the sharing of gospel and invitation to events, my heart gradually became cold toward my colleagues. Disappointment caused me to stop reaching out to them. This parable taught me about the Father’s desire for the lost.
Pray that my cold heart will become warm again.

I thank God for breaking the silence in my life. I know that I have been serving yet my heart is so dreadful like the older brother. My heart is like the younger son, yearning to go out of the house.
Thus, I want to be prayed according to...
Ps 27 – that I’ll gaze at the beauty of the Lord
Ps 63 – that I’ll long and thirst for God in this dry and wearing land.
Victor
God’s willingness to embrace us despite our state of heart is a call for us to treasure our sonship. Pray that I will abide in Him as His redeemed son.
Priscilla

Adel (TAKEN)
Thanksgiving: God loves me so much that He disciplines me (crashing my hard disk) to get my attention yet reserving a backup for me. He showed me that I must be satisfied in Him alone. I cannot live life apart from God.
Only when I have a love relationship with God, I can be used by Him to love others sincerely and willingly.
Michelle
Touched by the parable of the prodigal son. I can see the gentle and loving side of our Father…how he wanted so much for his sons to come back to Him.
Pray for me that I am close to my Father’s heart.

The Shepherding Survey
The Shepherd survey form is to be done by you, "NOT for your shepherd" to do for you. If you think you are not a shepherd, then remember the "angel-mortal" thing that the Growth Champions gave us from the beginning? If not, please think of someone in the foundation that you would want to help to see growth in.
The Sheep survey form can be complete by you or you can pass to your sheep(s) to do. But do remember to get them back.

Good Friday
It is hard for us to fathom what the depth of God is like, but let me tell you a story about human love that just might get to it. A woman came to see a world-famous plastic surgeon names Dr. Maxwell Maltz. She came to see him about her husband. She told the doctor that her husband had been injured in a fire attempting to save
his parents from a burning house. He could not get to them, and they were both killed. And his face was permanently burned and disfigured. He had given up on living and had gone into hiding. He would not let anybody see him—not even his wife.
Dr. Maltz told the wife not to worry. He said, “With the great advances in modern medicine, I am confident that I can restore his face.” She explained to the doctor that her husband would not let anyone help him because he believed that god had disfigured his face to punish him for not rescuing his parents. (What an awful load to carry.) She then made a shocking request: she said, “Doctor, I want you to disfigure my face…so I can be like him. If I can share in his pain, the maybe—just maybe—he will let me back into his life. I love him so much, and I want to be with him; and if that’s what it takes, then that’s what I am willing to do.”
Now Dr. Maltz could not agree to do this, but he was moved so deeply by her determination and her love for her husband that he got her permission to talk to her husband one last time. He went to the man’s room and he knocked on the door, but there was no answer. He knew the man was inside, so he called loudly from the door, “I know you’re in there. I know you can hear me, so I have come to tell you that my name is Dr. Maxwell Maltz, and I am a plastic surgeon. And I want you to know that I can restore your face.” There was still no response. So he knocked again and cried even louder, “Please come out and let me restore your face.” But again there was no answer. Still speaking through the door, Dr. Maltz told the man what his wife was asking him to do, “She wants me to disfigure her face…to make her face like yours in hope that you will let her back into your life—that’s how much she loves you. That’s what she wants for you. Will you let me help you?”
There was a brief moment of silence; and then, ever so slowly, the doorknob began to turn. And the door was cracked open, and out of the darkness of the room, a disfigured man came out into the light for a new beginning and a new life. He was literally set free and brought out of his hiding and given a new start because of the
depth of love of his wife. That is a dramatic expression of human love in a small way that describes God’s great love for us. We human beings have had the potential of our lives scarred and disfigured by our sin. Our relationship with God is broken and, no matter how hard we try, we cannot fix this on our own. We cannot forgive our own sin. We cannot heal the disfigurement of our soul and lives. We cannot mend the broken relationship we have with God and with others; but God has done this for us. He loves us so much that He was willing to become like us and suffer for us at the Cross.

How to read the Bible for all its worth
Parable of the Lost Sheep.
In Luke's gospel this parable functions along with the Lost Coin and Prodigal Son as a word to the Pharisees. The lost sheep is clearly a sinner, whose finding brings joy in heaven. Again, as a word to the Pharisees, it justifies Jesus' acceptance of the outcasts; but when heard by the outcasts it assures them that they are the objects of the loving shepherd's search. In Matthew, the parable is a part of the collection of sayings on relationships within the kingdom. In this new context the same point is being made: God's care for the lost. But here the "lost" are sheep who have "wandered off." In Matthew's context it speaks to the question of what do we do for those "little ones" who are of weak faith, and who tend to go astray. In verses 6-9 Matthew's community is told that no one of them had better be responsible for causing a "little one" to go astray. In verses 10-14 the parable of the Lost Sheep tells, on the other hand, they should seek out the wandering one and love him or her back into the fold. Same parable, same point, but to a brand new audience.

Prayer!

Yeah! As the quotation goes " Come to prayer gathering!"
If you don't know what to do for missions, here is something shared during prayer gathering.
In Acts 1:14 ->They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
The first gathering of the people isn't any evangelistic event or a preach but it's of prayer. And it's not once or twice but constantly! Want to encourage all of you to persist in prayer for the mission field and join together in prayer(Where? Prayer gathering!!) =)
When man works, man works
When man prays, God works.

Sunday, December 21, 2008
Now, abt 2 weeks after our church camp, my life is really packed.. But how have I been loving God and His people... have I done anything? Even though we were encouraged to give tribute to God in the alabaster box before church camp... It occurred to me that I shouldn't have stopped just there... Though it's kind of late, I'm going to embark on the mission of preparing a tribute unto our Lord Almighty...
How abt you? Let's not stop loving our God...

Simple exercise.
Have you given thanks?
I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels.
My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, "This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received."
I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.
Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.
The angel then said to me, "This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them."
I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.
Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. "This is the Aknowledgment Section," my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed. "How is it that? There's no work going on here?" I asked.
"It's sad," the angel sighed. "After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments.
"How does one acknowledge God's blessings?" I asked.
"Simple," the angel answered. "Just say, "Thank you, Lord."
"What blessings should they acknowledge?" I asked.
"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world.
"If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
"And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity."
Also.....
"If you woke up this morning with more health than illness.... you are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.
"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation .. you are ahead of 700 million people in the world.
"If you can attend a church meeting without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion people in the world.
"If your parents are still alive and still married... you are very rare.
If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're unique to all those in doubt and despair."
Ok, what now? How can I start?
If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.
Have a good day, count your blessings!
Attn: Acknowledge Dept.: Thank You Lord!
"Thank you Lord, for giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so many wonderful people to share it with"
Talents????
"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!"
What talents do we have?

Love one another
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
Have we love one another by remembering our brothers and sisters in our prayers as we read the prayer request for church camp? (listed in the earlier post)
See you before our Father's throne!

Meiyun
Heart ready to receive God’s Word and not the indifferent attitude.
Work towards Alabaster jar not because of obligation, but a true expression of love for God.

Mei Yee
As I look at the dates of the church camp, my heart was unsettled because I know that the holidays need to be used up for the final-year project. I need to finish the report before school starts. Please pray according to Phil 4:6. I will learn to entrust everything unto God though it seems so not possible for me to finish the report within the holidays and the stress is piling up too. Pray for a focused mind in the camp. I really want to listen to the Word of God.
Christel
I’m reading the “Pleasures of God” to prepare for the camp. Recently, I felt my God-centered attitude shifting to self-centredness. Please pray that I will repent.

Winnie
